Scenario 1 – A Small Office (up to 10 Users)

In a scenario like this, with a small office of 10 users, we would deploy something similar to the picture below. A trixbox Pro Appliance w/ a 4 Port Sangoma FXO Card installed and a CogentVoip Sip Trunk, this office would have a steady VoIP connection through their Internet, as well as keeping 4 PSTN lines for faxing purposes as well as emergency backup in case of failure. The Deployment of 10 Aastra Phones allows each employee to have their own extension, voicemail and ability to receive and make calls. Because the Aastra phones have Dual Ethernet ports, this allows the customer to use exisitng networking for their desktops to serve as their connections for their phone line, preventing the need to install new lines. With a computer and phone at each customer’s disposal, they will be able to use trixbox’s Hud Program, along with their phones, to enable seamless, constant communication throughout the office as well as with outside calls.

With just a simple install, any small office can have enterprise phone system capibilities, as well as Business class Voip, and PSTN backup. This install also allows for growth with the company,

Scenario 2- Small to Medium Office w/ Enterprise Features

In a scenario like this, with a small to medium office of 20 users, we would deploy something similar to the picture below. A trixbox Pro Appliance w/ a 4 Port Sangoma FXO Card installed and 2 CogentVoip Sip Trunks and trixbox Pro Enterprise Edition Licenses, this office would have a steady VoIP connection through their Internet, with a backup SIp Trunk and addiotnal DID Phone numbers to allow for different inbound routing plans, as well as keeping 4 PSTN lines for faxing purposes as well as emergency backup in case of failure. The Deployment of 20 Aastra Phones allows each employee to have their own extension, voicemail and ability to receive and make calls. Much like scenario 1, the dual ports of the phone allow for users to integrate their system seamlessly into their existing network. While this solution will function very much like the scenario 1, with the upgrade to Enterprise Edition, this office will have increased capability. The most important difference is the ability for conference calls, and the added DID phone number, which will allow this company to have a direct number for their conference calls. A Conference phone will allow a full conference room full of employees to take part in a high audio quality conference call, and allow customers or even remote employees the simple ability to dial directly into a conference call.

With the simple tweaking of a few details in a solution, we greatly expanded capabilities and luxuries of the trixbox Phone System.

Scenario 3- Small Call Center

In a scenario like this, with a small to medium call center of 50 users, we would deploy something similar to the picture below. A trixbox Enterprise Appliance w/ a Sangoma PRI Card installed and 1 CogentVoip Sip Trunk and trixbox Pro Call Center Edition Licenses, this office would have a steady VoIP connection through their Internet, as well as keeping their T1 PRI lines for faxing purposes as well as emergency backup in case of failure and local calls. The Deployment of 50 Aastra Phones allows each employee to have their own extension, voicemail and ability to receive and make calls. Much like scenario 1 and 2, the dual ports of the phone allow for users to integrate their system seamlessly into their existing network. While this solution will function very much like the scenario 1, with the upgrade to Call Center Edition, this office will have increased capability. This Call Center will be able to take advantage of the robust call center features of trixbox Pro CCE, such as Queue management, call monitoring, Calling recording and barging, and many more. The Backup trixbox Appliance with a Linked backup Server License will provide redundancy within the overall system, and all serve as an emergency fail over. If the main system goes down, the LBS server will be ready to take right over, so that the business can continue to function while the main unit is repaired. This will prevent the business from ever being “dead in the water” because of a failure, as a LBS is a mirror image of the current settings on the main server.
