In this video we show you how to setup Yealink IP Phones with the Asterisk open-source based trixbox CE IP PBX platform. Since, under the hood, trixbox CE uses FreePBX, these same basic instructions will work with any FreePBX-based distribution such as Elastix, PBX-In-A-Flash, AsteriskNow, and any basic FreePBX installation.
Once you have your extension configured, you just need the SIP credentials to get the phone registered. This video also takes it a step further and talks about the different line keys and programmable keys and how to use them to your benefit.

Hi Kerry and thanks for the insightful video. I noticed that if you create a conference call with the Yealink T28P, the phone kind of locks up in the conference call and you cannot use, hold, transfer, get a second line to call another number, etc.
I am using this phone behind a firewall connected to a remote TB server though, have not tested with onsite TB yet. Have you experienced the same thing?
