It is just a comment from "IT/data guy": In general, any PBX (it doesn't matter what is the type, it can be the "SIP", "VoIP", "proprietary", "20 years old" etc.) may help to optimize existing, strictly defined, business processes or, in case if the processes are very "fuzzy", it(PBX) may play a role of the "anchor" to define them(the processes) more clearly. Let's say, PBX (even VoIP) is only one of the tools which can help people to organize business. It is, definitely, not a "panacea" which can make business more successful using "one click" :) So, the maturity of business processes on customer side should be estimated first. Then try to compare maturity of the PBX functionality (you should know about it!) and maturity of the business processes implemented on customer side. Next turn is to find weakest points in the processes on customer side and to find the compensations on "PBX functionality" side. Have a good "sales"! Very useful article.
