3CX Windows-Based IP PBX System Overview

With the recent release of 3CX v8, we thought it was a good time to do an article and really explain what 3CX is all about. Some people may have tried earlier versions of 3CX over the past couple of years, but 3CX has really become a production-ready IP PBX system over the past year as the feature set has grown nicely and the product has become quite stable.

3CX has a unique licensing model that is based on the number of simultaneous calls that are being used on the system instead of the more traditional extension-based licensing. This licensing model works very well and helps keep the costs of owning a 3CX system to a minimum.
