3CX Releases RC2 of their Windows-based IP PBX Platform
3CX has added a handful of new features to RC2 – nothing real major, but things that show that the developers have really been listening to the feedback in their forums. One big complaint was the SIP Authentication in the user portal, this has been removed due to the number of people requesting it.
From a visual point of view, the only real change is the new look of 3CX Assistant, again, nothing real major, just some subtle improvements to make it look a little nicer.
- You can now provision your Polycom with the Personal Phone Directory
- Improved Myphone interface
- Ability to trigger a call from the Extension status page in MyPhone portal
- Removed SIP AUTHENTICATION tab in the MyPhone page – Can be enabled from the global parameters page MYPHONESIPAUTH if needed
- Phone book directories are now updated automatically each time an extension is added
- Remote reboot of phones using SIP notify is possible for Snom, Linksys by commenting out reboot link in template
- Added support for G7Eleven VoIP provider
- Improved Inphonex and VoIP Unlimited templates
- Faxes can now be received from VoIP providers that correctly support T38 fax. (BroadVox and Nexvortex for now)
- Faxes can now be received behind NAT (documentation to be provided)
